Commonwealth Shared Scholarships fund one-year taught master’s programmes at participating UK universities, jointly paid for by the UK government and the university.

Masters
Courses must show direct development relevance — public health, engineering, agriculture, education and data science do well. You apply through the university, not directly to the Commission.

- Monthly stipend and warm-clothing allowance
- Return airfare and thesis grant
- Citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country (Nigeria qualifies)
- First degree of at least upper second class (2:1)
- Unable to afford UK study without the scholarship
- Available to start UK study in the award year
- Degree certificate and transcripts
- University admission offer for an eligible course
- Personal statement on development impact
- One academic reference
